Our Values
We follow the NABSW Code of Ethics to help support Black people and other communities by advancing equity, reducing disparate effects, supporting Black institutions and helping to connect people to the resources they need regardless of race or ethnicity.

Rooted in the spirit of equity, we are charged to advocate and promote impactful change in the Chicagoland area and beyond.
Chicago ABSW values the sage wisdom, experience and commitment of our elders. We celebrate them with an elder salute three times a year via our Love & Care Committee.

The mental health and physical wellbeing of our community is important. We hold community forums, health fairs and provide community based services for special programs.
Societal changes and increased efforts to banish our rich history and work in the community requires an intentional effort to keep us all connected to our why!
